Problems with Chromebooks at Home

posted Sep 3, 2015, 12:04 PM by Lechel Pitts   [ updated Mar 21, 2016, 6:33 AM ]

If students are having trouble accessing wi-fi at home or another wi-fi connection on the Chromebook, the school's filter iBoss has been activated.

Students need to use their first and last name (together) as the username and the last 5 of their student ID as the password. Once they have logged in at school, they should be able to login and use the wi-fi at home or another location.

The Chromebook needs to go to a site that’s an http:// first (such as http://yahoo.com) which forces the browser to go to the login screen for the web filter. Once logged in, the Chromebook is able to access the Internet.
Please use the attachment for detailed instructions.
